- Booth open March 2nd
- Z3 purple variant
- No new major devices
This is probably because the Japanese company doesnt have anything special to present on the big stage
We had fully recovered from all the glamour and hype of the CES and now it’s already time for the MWC event which is not only a few weeks away and of course we are all looking out for the major players and their plans for the big day. Almost everyone has had their material fully prepped for the event as they all want to be better than their counterparts. Sony however doesn’t seem to be too excited about this, even though this was the platform for it to shine again. We don’t think the company is thinking about all that fan disappointment because it has decided not to do a major press conference in Barcelona.
We won’t be seeing any big stages and live streams which we did the previous year and this has been confirmed by some sources within the industry who are aware of the company’s plans. The question remains, why would Sony not do anything major this year? This might be answered by the fact that the Japanese company doesn’t have any major type A product to present at the big event. What we are thinking is that the company will have its old Z3 brand with a new purple look along with some other mid range offers.
Though Sony hasn’t planned on presenting something major for the MWC 2015, it doesn’t think of it as reason enough to miss out on the event. The company’s booth will be open from March 2nd and though we are not expecting to see any version of the Z4, there will surely be some other interesting things to catch the eye.
