Huawei has its own Kirin processor lineup which has been used in the company’s phones for quite some time
In contrast to the hardware we have seen in the past, this year’s Nexus device might bring a more Chinese origin as directed by most of the rumors this week. We have already come across reports which claim that Google has been having talks with a Chinese manufacturer regarding the release of the next Nexus device and some sources have even gone as far to suggest that a domestic manufacturer has made all the arrangements to announce the Nexus phone this year.
Sources coming from Weibo have also revealed that this year we are going to see two different Nexus devices. One of these will be coming in from the Chinese manufacturer while the other from LG and from what we are guessing, the Chinese manufacturer is going to release the affordable version of the phone. And we are left with the LG variant which is most likely going to be the Nexus 6 for this year and because of its high price it will be fully loaded with all the best specs.
So the best part from this year from the Nexus lovers is going to be the fact that they will be given two different options.
There is still a debate going on regarding the type of processor the OEM inside the phone is going to feature and the confusion remains as to whether the manufacturers plan to make use of their own SoCs or get them from Qualcomm. And this brings us back to Huawei which has its own Kirin processor lineup which has been used in the company’s phones for quite some time so this gives us a pretty good reason to believe that Huawei might be the one manufacturing one of the Nexus phones this year.
With the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 and even the affordable Honor 6 Plus with dual cameras, we can see the capabilities of the company and we are positive that it can produce a powerful as well as a good looking Nexus phone.
