Apple /4/have revealed the Apple Watch box
Though there is still some time on Apple Watch to hit the retail market, a snap posted on Apple’s website clearly gives the idea of how the packaging of the Smart Watch /4/look like. The picture reveals a group of people looking over Apple Watch being unpacked, along with a Watch box on the table. Though it is still unclear whether the box is for the watch itself or the strap, however, the box has a strong connection with the Apple Watch. What we still don’t know is the kind of watch the box is for.
A number of reports have mentioned that the box is primarily for starting level Apple Watch which is the sports edition and standard Apple watch models. From the looks of the box, it definitely does not appear for high end Smart Watch. It is also forecasted that Apple Watch Edition will make its appearance in a special box. There is also news that if you keep the gold Apple Watch in its box, it will recharge itself with magnetic technology. Analysts have forecasted that Apple Watch that costs less than $10,000 will make its appearance in retail market in an economical packaging as the watch box revealed in the photo posted on Apple’s website.
According to an Apple employee, chances are bright that the packaging seen in the picture on the website /4/be utilized for internal procurement, as it /4/not be the finalized packaging. Apple’s head of design mentioned, “We didn’t want the packaging to be a sort of shorthand for value, where the box needs to be big and we have to include expensive materials. We’ve always liked the idea that if we are heavy in our thinking, we can be much lighter in the implementation. So there’s huge virtue, I think, in keeping the packaging small: at least, it is the right choice environmentally, it’s easier to move things around and you don’t end up with your wardrobes full of large watch boxes that you don’t use”.
Since the space for documentation, charger, and power adapter is also required, there is a strong possibility that packaging is yet to be finalized.
