Fashion Police takes a Break till the Month of September

Fashion Police has had enough controversy for awhile. After the departure of Kathy Griffin and Kelly Osbourne, the show along with its co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski are taking a break till the month of September when they will be back on the show.

Although Fashion Police is taking a breather from its usual display of fashion faux pahs and foibles, it will be back on the air within a few months’ time. In September of this year, it will be coming to television sets everywhere. It will be a golden opportunity for the show heads and rank and file to do some soul searching of their own.

They will probably come back even more stronger and with the ability to take on all the fashion fickleness of the world. Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski not to mention Melissa Rivers, the daughter of the late Joan Rivers, will be coming back to host and produce the show respectively.

Many fans of the show are waiting impatiently for the comparisons to begin. Their wishes will get fulfilled in September. Kathy Griffin who was the supposed replacement for Joan Rivers later on said that she would take Kelly Osbourne’s stand against racism and thus would quit the show.

E! Entertainment head Adam Stotsky has plans to provide a different blueprint for Fashion Police though. He and his seniors found one of the comments by Kathy Griffin to be very pungent and right on target.

Kathy had said that the constant showing off of different outfits on many celebs in conflict with each other had created an atmosphere of hatred and ill will on Fashion Police.

“E!’s comedy series Fashion Police is going on hiatus and will return in September,” the network said in a statement Tuesday. “We look forward to taking this opportunity to refresh the show before the next awards season. Our talented co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski, along with executive producer Melissa Rivers, will continue their roles as we evolve the show into its next chapter for the legions of Fashion Police fans around the world.”

The new plans include virtually revamping and refurbishing the show. It will take a lot of work and dedicated effort though. Making the image of the show a positive one is in itself a monumentally difficult task. It will take herculean strength to budge public opinion in favor of Fashion Police.

One of the mistakes committed earlier on was bringing the show back on air too soon after Joan’s death. Some time should have been given to mourn the great celebrity and talk show host’s tragic demise. And the past controversies didn’t help much either.

Giuliana Rancic’s sick comments about Zendaya’s dreadlocks got the ball rolling in the wrong direction. Both Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin have vacated the show due to those racist overtures by Giuliana.

Fashion is indeed fickle and so what was once a fun way of displaying difference in style statements has become a series of serious moves that hurt feelings more than they entertain. Let’s hope the month of September brings a better and fresher Fashion Police and especially one that doesn’t repeat the mistakes of the past.
