Apple Watch to debut by appointment only

So the time is coming closer and the stage has been set for the debut of the long awaited Apple Watch. Since we all know, this new device is no small deal; not only is the watch Apple’s first major product innovation since the iPad, it is also the first product launch since Tim Cook joined as the CEO. More importantly, the launch of the Apple Watch is also going to mark the start of a new use of the Apple stores.

If you are getting excited for the April 24th launch then you should know that getting your hands on the watch is going to be no easy deal. Apple has decided to make the watch’s debut by appointment only, meaning that you will have to sign up for a 15-minute session at an Apple store. so far we have got no details as to how we are supposed to sign up for this appointment but Apple has confirmed that the first round of appointments are going to kick off on April 10th – the same date the pre orders are going to start.

There is one more thing which isn’t confirmed yet and that is what to expect once you have reached the Apple Store. Some rumors have been leaking through various sites and they have made use of the training documents which are for the retail employees to deduce the sales strategies which Apple will be employing.

The possibilities include the sales personnel asking you if you are interested in a set of different bands for different occasions. They might also start nudging you from the basic $349 price tag and gradually move along this price curve to reach the $1,100 black stainless-steel watch and bracelet and then depending on the customers jump to the gold versions which start off at a whopping $10,000.

Though most of us might get carried away looking at the fancier bands and cases but it would be a smart choice to stick to the entry level sports version since the screen and the internals are going to remain the same regardless of what version you have. The Apple Watch is all about getting to know the features and enjoying tons of new apps and this you can do even with the basic Sport model; the fancy straps and bands are only for those who would want to show off some extra bling on their wrists.
