Full House sequel Fuller House is Official

Netflix has given the order to produce a latest season of the iconic comedy show ‘Full House’ sequel as ‘Fuller House’.

Netflix has ordered thirteen more episodes of the comedy show ‘Full House’ which will be entitled ‘Fuller House’. The order has been given to the Warner Horizon Television along with the Miller-Boyett Productions and Jeff Franklin Productions.

The season will premiere on Netflix exclusively in 2016. All the stars from the original cast are in the work to star in the sequel to the original series. Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber have been confirmed as returning to their roles.

Jason Stamos will also reprise his role as Uncle Jesse as a guest appearance in the sequel ‘Fuller House’ and will also be producing the sequel. Other notable stars such as stars Bob Saget, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin are still being negotiated with for a guest appearance. 

‘Fuller House’ will follow the story which started in 1987 as the veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller will be recently widowed, while her younger sister and musician Stephanie Tanner along with her mother Kimmy Gibbler will move in with Tanner to take care of her two boys. Tanner will have a rebellious 12 year old boy called J.D. and a neurotic 7 year old boy named Max, along with a baby on the way. 

“As big fans of the original Full House, we are thrilled to be able to introduce Fuller House’s new narrative to existing fans worldwide, who grew up on the original, as well as a new generation of global viewers that have grown up with the Tanners in syndication,” said Cindy Holland, Vice President of Original Content for Netflix.

The executive producers of the show stated they are astounded by the support of the fans they have been receiving for the last 28 years. It will be a thrilling honor to catch up with the beloved characters and explore their lives.

According to the producers the love on the show was real as the cast has remained close even after the show ended all those years ago and they are extremely excited to bring the show back to life. 

In a joint statement, executive producers Robert L. Boyett, Thomas L. Miller and Jeff Franklin said: “The continued support of Full House fans of all ages for the last 28 years has been astounding. It is an honor and a thrill to catch up with these beloved characters and explore their lives today. The love you saw on the show was real. The cast has remained a loving family off screen all these years. We are as excited as our fans to finally bring Full House back to life.”
