Jeff Gordon; hoax claims the NASCAR driver turned out to be gay

According to the story, Gordon is in a relationship with openly gay NASCAR driver Stephen Rhodes

Jeff Gordon‘s sexuality remains a secret from no one and has been challenged with some questionable statements since now recently a hoax has been spreading some interesting gossip. But what remained under the shadows for quite some time has now come to the surface and that too pretty surprisingly through what appears to be merely a hoax. As this spreads through the internet, many people have actually started believing that Jeff Gordon is in a relationship with openly gay NASCAR driver Stephen Rhodes.

Courtesy of a news story from a site called Empire Sports, this little hoax has spread through the internet over the past one week like wildfire. This story which has already become famous claims that Jeff Gordon has turned out to be gay just like NBA player Jason Collins and soon-to-be NFL player Michael Sam. The claim goes somewhat like this;

“As if the sports world didn’t have enough people coming out of the closet. A highly respected member of the NASCAR community has come out and admitted he is in a relationship with a fellow openly gay NASCAR member. Jeff Gordon who is going through a divorce said that he is now dating openly gay driver Stephen Rhodes. Gordon joins a list of male athletes who are new to the openly gay sports world.”

From what we have learned from this story, it appears that many NASCAR fans have been highly disappointed at this little revelation which might not even be true. A former Jeff Gordon fan, Billy-Bob Benson, reportedly made some crude comments saying that “There ain’t no room for that queer crap in NASCAR. This is a man sport that only straight men should be doing. These queers need to go back and pray that god forgives them for the choice they made. If they wanna be gay go be a fashion designer and not ruin the greatest sport in the world!”
