Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson and writer Kay Cannon all eagerly awaiting for the third installment of Pitch Perfect
The world premiere of comedy film “Pitch Perfect 2” was held on Friday and it was a huge event for everyone involved in the film especially for Elizabeth Banks who was making her feature film directorial debut with the sequel. All the cast of the film including Brittany Snow, Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson was present at the Nokia Theatre L.A Live in Los Angeles and the focus of the night was obviously the “Pitch Perfect 2” but the cast and crew had not ruled out the possibility of another sequel Pitch Perfect 3.
When asked about her plans for the Pitch Perfect 3, Brittany Snow who played Chloe Beale in the film said, “Of course, I mean, I’ve made some of my best friends from this movie, and I care about this movie and the franchise a lot. We never set out to make it a franchise – we just wanted to have a really good time. And so we are very lucky that we are getting to do a second one and hopefully a third one.”
Kay Cannon who was the writer of the first and second installment of the Pitch Perfect, said that she wants to be a part of third installment as well.
“I would be excited to write a third one. You Know, in my mind: ‘Let’s see how the second one does, and if it’s successful and if there’s a need’ – but then I started to think of ideas and I think it could be really fun.” Cannon told Variety.
Rebel Wilson who plays Fat Amy in the films is already spreading out the news that she has been signed in the third installment too, though filmmakers have not announced anything like that yet. She shared her thoughts on the possible future of Barden Bellas, the all-girl a cappella group at Barden University.
“We joke that we’re going to go to the intergalactic championship, in the third (movie). But that’s not going to be it. That’s just a joke.” Rebel said.
However, Anna Kendrick, portraying Beca Mitchell was a bit reluctant to talk anything about the third film as of right now before having a look at the response to the second film.
“I’m not one to count my chickens, so I just want to see how this one does and find out if there’s an appetite for that before I think about it. I’ll drive myself crazy,” Kendrick told TIME in an interview few days ago.
“Pitch Perfect 2” will hit domestic theaters on /4/15.
