George Clooney is collaborating with Disney Pictures to star in the upcoming futuristic fantasy film Tomorrowland.
Clooney recently spoke on why he chose to star in the film and revealed he liked the message of hope in the film and it attracted him to star in the expected hit film and a huge box office earner.
The film will star Clooney in the role of Frank a former boy genius who is cynical and starts a journey to find the secret place in between time and space known as the Tomorrowland, according to Reuters.
Britt Robertson will play the role of Casey a teenage science geek who follows Frank in his quest to find Tomorrowland and if the trailer is any indication they are successful. Hugh Laurie and Raffey Cassidy are also a part of the cast while his role has not been disclosed.
The film is directed by Brad Bird and according to Clooney the director is an optimist, who was aimed to create a film which allowed people to come to the realization that life does not end the way we seen it ending on the news. Clooney loved the idea of talking and working on such a subject matter which shows there is always a future if you get involved in it.
According to Bird the character of Frank is an idealist and Clooney is well known for his humanitarian work and has always been willing to take even an unpopular stand when he believes the stand is right. Such traits are what made Bird consider Clooney for the character and it has turned out to be good.
Clooney also walked down the red carpet at Disneyland along with his wife Amal and co-star Raffey Cassidy. Tomorrowland is reported to be released on the 22nd of /4/2015 all over US.
