This means that Apple is committed to bringing HomeKit to the market.

Apple’s HomeKit will not be delayed, an Apple spokesperson tells the Wall Street Journal, downplaying an earlier report that the connected platform for smart devices isn’t going to be launched at WWDC as promised.

“HomeKit has been available for just a few months and we already have dozens of partners who have committed to bringing HomeKit accessories to market and we’re looking forward to the first ones coming next month,” said Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller.

Earlier today, Fortune wrote a report about Appel’s struggles with HomeKit. According to sources, Apple’s home automation platform, which promises to connect certified devices using Siri, is launching at a later date, possibly in August or September, instead of a planned /4/or June release.

Sources added that the Cupertino-based company is struggling to make HomeKit work. Particularly, a code within the platform blew up because smaller, battery-operated devices need more memory, leaving engineers scurrying to scale down the code. Another problem is Apple’s Lighting technology, sources said.

Apple’s statement contradicts the previous report. This means that Apple is committed to bringing HomeKit to the market. Apple announced HomeKit at WWDC last year and its hardware certification program in November. We’ll see how this goes this month at WWDC 2015.
