Major Spoiler of iOS 9 and OS X 10.11 Features Ahead of WWDC 2015

9to5Mac just released a bunch of details about the next iOS and OS X versions to be presented at the WWDC 2015 in early June.

The WWDC 2015 keynote will take place on June 8 and iOS 9 and OS X 10.11 will be a big part of the event. We already heard a long time ago that the next OS X version will be all about stability and security. There is no news there in what 9to5Mac revealed, but they have a several details on how Apple is making OS X more secure, keyword “Rootless.”

Rootless is aimed at blocking malware, increase the safety of extensions and preserve the security of sensitive data. Rootless will also prevent even administrative users from being able to access certain protected files on Apple devices. Rootless also will be introduced on iOS and going to pose a big problem for jailbreakers.

OS X 10.11 will also bring support for Trusted Wi-Fi and iCloud drive.

New features of iOS 9 already leaked earlier this week with split-screen multi-tasking, new Home app and upgraded maps. What has not leaked earlier is that Apple will bring iOS 9 to old devices like iPhone 4S and iPad mini. A5 CPU based iDevices will be able to run iOS 9 according to the sources of 9to5Mac.

There are way to many leaks right now about iOS 9 and OS X 10.11. Apple will take notice. Someone inside the Apple developer group is talking to Mark Gurman at 9to5Mac. Either Apple is in favor to get some information out in order to pre-educate Apple fans to what the WWDC 2015 keynote will be about, or they are pissed right now.
