Cassandra Rules Twitter
After getting cyber bullied for dancing, O’Brien was supported by many Hollywood stars and he was flown to Hollywood by an official movement name ‘Find Dancing Man’ to throw a party in his honor.
So four months ago, Liverpool local posted a video of himself dancing on You Tube. The video was met with a lot of bullying and criticism. He got discouraged but he bullying rallied up a whole lot of supporters who defended him against the bullies.
A campaign nicknamed him “Dancing Man” as they launched a movement to find out his identity under #FindDancingMan. The campaign included American writer Cassandra Fairbanks, other stars included Pharell Williams and Ellie Goulding. The movement initiated the cause to transport him to California and throw a party in his honor. The trip would be a cause to raise money for anti-bullying charities.

O’Brien was found and flown to America. His trip is being documented in detail on Twitter as people welcome and greet him and show their support for him. Meghan Trainor danced with him on the Today Show and we can imagine it was “All About That Bass”.

A star studded party was hosted at Avalon nightclub in Los Angeles alongside 1,000 supporters including musician Andrew WK, former White House intern turned anti-bullying campaigner Monica Lewinsky, and Williams via video. Moby DJed the event, offering his service for free at first.

What a way to turn a bad thing around into a great thing? O’Brien said that he had anticipated to be made fun of due to his weight. It would have happened eventually but he knew that instead of blanking them, he just had to ignore them. And the world actually stood up for him.

He’s the Dancing Man now, known and loved worldwide with the world dancing with him and the bullies are nowhere to be found. This is a great event for all people who have been body shamed. It’s an initiative that being fat ain’t so bad. You just have to dance cause as the Dancing Man says, he just loved to dance.
