- Johnny Depp could be looking at 10 years in jail for his undeclared dogs
Johnny Depp has been warned against bringing his dogs to Australia and could face ten years in jail and a heavy fine.
Johnny Depp took his Yorkshire terriers to Australia on his private plane and forgot to officially declare them. It might not seem like a big offence but in Australia it is against the quarantine laws.
Depp has been shooting for the upcoming Pirates of the Carribeane: Dead Men tell no Tales and must be missing his beloved dogs. He and wife Amber Heard got together in the company of dogs and took them to a grooming parlor.
The pictures of Depp with his dogs came up on the social media and also got noticed by the Australian authorities. He had not declared them whilst bringing them to the country,
A senate committee reported the matter as a serious one and Depp has been given a warning that if he brings his dogs to the country again, he would be arrested and can be sentenced to ten years in jail plus a heavy fine of AU$340,000 (£172,000).
After the warning, wife Amber Heard took the dogs Pistol and Boo back to the US. Some newspapers speculate that he would also be going to be with his dogs but his publicists have denied the reports.
