Mariah Carey Calls American Idol Fake

Mariah Carey recently sat down with hosts Kyle and Jackie O of the Australian KIIS FM and slammed the Fox show ‘American idol’.

The 45 years old singer Mariah Carey called ‘American Idol’ so boring and so fake and then revealed the judges are supposed to give exaggerated analysis regarding the performances of the contestants. 

Carey stated in an interview to “Kyle and Jackie O” radio show in Australia when she eludes to the fact the show is fake it means she had to make things up to say about people referring to the contestants. Carey continued saying the performances on ‘American Idol’ are half of the time very good and as a judge she just wanted to say it was good to the contestant and be done with the judging.

However the show’s executives had other ideas and the judges had to give elaborate and sometimes ‘Fake’ feedback to the keep the audience interested along with spiked ratings.    

Mariah Carey was a judge on the 12th season of American Idol but the season became notorious for the epic feud between Carey and Nicki Minaj rather than the talent featured in the contestants. Carey was part of a judging panel which also included Randy Jackson and Keith Urban in 2012.

‘American idol’ has since been cancelled and the final 15th season will premiere next spring which will be aired as a celebratory season of all the years gone by. According to the cancellation announcement in /4/all the previous judges and stars from American idol will make an appearance to send off the show.

When asked if Mariah Carey would ever return to the show the answer was a vehement ‘Hell, No’. Carey further said she will absolutely not be returning to the worst experience of her life. Carey also stated she is not going to get into the bad experience which was obviously the intention on the show.

Carey also claimed pitting her and Minaj against each other was not ‘Cool’ and it should have been about the talented contestants rather than a non-existent feud. Even though everyone else can like the show ‘American idol’ Mariah Carey will never be involved in the ridiculousness.
