Intel updates new Fifth Generation Core Processors with Powerful Graphics

Intel has updated graphics on its 14nm Broadwell processors

Intel took the curtains off the all new fifth generation of core processors at the Computex 2015. Intel announced 5 new chips and all of them are based on 14nm Broadwell architecture, but the only difference is that they now come up with a much powerful GPU than its predecessors. The new GPU is the Intel Iris Pro 6200, which ensures hardcore graphics and better overall performance while still being power efficient.

According to Intel, the new Core i7-5775-C with the Intel Pro GPU will deliver 35 percent better performance and two times better graphics performance as compared to the previous generation of desktop processors. The Intel Iris Pro has been in the news for quite some time now and Intel promised to showcase in the next generation of the desktop processors. All of the announced processors have four cores and have a TDP of 65W and all comes with the Intel Iris Pro 6200.

The desktop models of the new Intel processors are Core i5-5675-C and Core i7-5775-C. The desktop model of the i5 has 4 cores and 4 threads with 4MB L3 Cache, DDR3L memory and is clocked at 3.1 GHz while the i7 of the desktop model has 4 cores and threads with 6MB L3 Cache, DDR3L memory and is clocked at 3.3 GHz.

Talking about the mobile processors, there are two i5 and one i7 processor. The Core i5 models 5575-R and 5675-R have both 4 cores and 4 threads and have 4 MB L3 Cache, DDR3L memory and is clocked at 2.8 GHz and 3.1 GHz respectively. While the Core i7 5775-R has 4 cores and 8 threads with 6MB Cache, DDR3L memory and is clocked at 3.3 GHz. The newly announced processors definitely have a lot to offer. There is no official word on the release date or on the pricing yet but rumors suggest that its going to have a hefty price tag. Though we will update you as soon as we will have any word in that regard.
