- Chet Hanks defends his use of the ‘N’ word!
- “Not Just Exclusively for Black People”
The rapper son of the actor Tom Hanks came under fire for using the ‘N’ word in his posts but Chet replied to the backlash saying he is not fazed.
Chet Hanks is a rapper and the son of the Oscar winning actor Tom Hanks. The young rapper Chet has repeatedly used the ‘N’ word on his twitter in the past and recently came under fire for using it again. While in London Chet posted a snap of himself in London on Instagram and accompanied it with a caption calling out the haters who never thought he could make it.
In the instagram post Chet wrote there are two types of people in the world one who chase their dreams and other who just wander aimlessly. Chet also claimed he lost a lot of friends because they are the second kind and addressed the haters as with the ‘F’ word and also using the ‘N’ word. After the post Chet received a lot of back lash for his use of the ‘N’ word and finally on Monday Chet relied back.
“2 types of people in this world: those who know exactly what it is they want and are doing everything they can to get it; and those who just wander aimlessly through life because they are scared to death of failure,” Chet Hanks wrote on Sunday. “I’ve lost a lot of so called friends cuz they turned out to be the second kind [expletive] yall hating [expletives] I’ll never stop chasing my dream”
According to the 24 years old Chet he uses the ‘N’ word a lot when he is with his black friends and they get him and nobody has the right to tell him what to say. Using the ‘N’ word was not a form of disrespect to the struggles of the black people or the Civil rights movement but its 2015 and people need to be ok with the present.
“I do say the n word in real life amongst my black friends who get me and can’t nobody tell me I can’t say what the [expletive] I feel like no disrespect to the struggle of black ppl during the civil rights movement but it’s 2015 now,” Chet wrote on Monday.
Chet also revealed in a video that he doesn’t just use the ‘N’ word for black people but also for white, Asian and Mexican people whom he loves and they love him back. Chet also revealed he believes using the ‘N’ word unifies the hip hop culture across different races.
“I don’t accept society getting to decide what ANYBODY can or can’t say. That’s something we call FREE SPEECH,” he said in another defensive video. “Black people are still being literally KILLED by a RACIST and [expletive] system,” he said.
“We have also reached a point where the word can no longer have a negative connotation if we so choose. And who is to say only black people can use it? The way I see it, it’s a word that unifies the culture of HIP-HOP across ALL RACES, which is actually kind of a beautiful thing.”
On Tuesday, Chet Hanks posted another video on Instagram to clarify his stance. “Under no circumstances would I go up to somebody that I didn’t know” and use the term, he said in the video.
“It’s an unspoken thing between people who are friends and understand each other.” “If you still want to be mad, be mad! That’s your right. What people think about me is none of my business. But please don’t act like you know my whole story either! We are all infinitely intelligent creatures on our own journeys. It’s life. ALL LOVE” he added.
But Tom Hanks’ son Chet Hanks has now deleted all instagrams including those in which he defends his use of the N-word on Instagram. However, TMZ has posted following video of Chet Hanks in which he explains his use of N-word.
