Algoriddim launches its ‘djay’ App for Androids with Spotify Integration

Algoriddim introduces Apple’s its popular iOS app ‘djay’ to Android with Spotify Integration. One more addition to Google Play Store.

Algoriddim is the team behind the popular music mixing app ‘djay’. The first commercial launch of its version was in 2007 on the Apple Mac, followed by iPad version in 2010 and iPhone in 2011. Now Algoriddim has decided to launch its app for Android through the Google Play Store and Amazon Play Store. 

‘Djay’ for Android packs in deep Spotify integration from day one unlike the iOS version which added up Spotify integration earlier this year. This means users have access to over 20 million songs for mixing together and playback.  

Spotify music is streamed directly into ‘djay’ and so you don’t need to install the Spotify App. Plus the good news is that you can enjoy a seven day free trial of Spotify Premium for use with ‘djay’ through the app if you aren’t a subscriber. This is a huge feature for the users who don’t like to sync their music libraries or who have storage limitations. 

The ‘djay’ has the same look and feel as a real DJ turntable and so the Android version is the similar in its layout as the version that is available for the Apple devices. Once you launch ‘djay’, you can view the turntables side by side in landscape or one at a time in portrait. Plus with other ‘djay’ versions you can also toggle from the turntable view to a digital waveform view which supports both layouts.

The Spotify aids the music browser to display your playlists alongside top charts, songs, a genre browser, and a track match section. The Android version of ‘Djay’ packs the same features as the iOS version does, this includes controls for playback and session recording, crossfading and auto-mixing, syncing tracks together and much more.

The app’s performance for Android was compared on a mid-range Moto G to that of Apple’s iPhone 6. Both versions of the app provide remarkable real time feedback for mixing the digital record. This app makes it easy to hold your own private parties without paying for a DJ and is a must app for music lovers.
