Andy Samberg will host 67th Emmy Awards

The actor who used to be a cast member at the Saturday Night Live show, will be hosting the next Primetime Emmy Awards.

Andy Samberg always brings something fresh to the table. He is one of the most hilarious actors seen on TV. He is currently working on his hit TV show called Brooklyn Nine-Nine in which he acts as a detective. The 67th Emmy Awards are going to take place in Nokia Theatre in LA.

They will be held on 20th September on FOX. Andy Samberg is already an Emmy Award winner so he knows all about this. Chairman and CEO of Television Academy Bruce Rosenblum said that he was very excited that this year’s Emmy’s are going to be hosted by Andy Samberg.

He said that is wonderfully fitting that they have Andy Samberg an Emmy Award winner himself as their host for this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards. He also said that Andy Samberg has grown and matured as an actor and that he has excelled in all aspects of the television universe.

He is also a director so he has seen life from both ends of the camera. He said that Andy’s humor, insights and charisma will be an exciting addition to their annual celebration of TV’s finest and brightest. He said that when people started asking about potential host for this year, he said that it should definitely be Andy Samberg.

Chairmen and CEOs of FOX Television Group Gary Newman and Dana Walden agree that Andy is the right man for the job. They said that he is fearless and hilarious and is an award winning comedian, writer, singer and an actor.

They said that they are absolutely sure that he will deliver the laughs and it will give viewers an incredible night they will enjoy. And Andy Samberg after being selected the host said, Buckle your seat belts Emmy viewers.

The nominations for this year’s Emmy Awards will be announced on the morning of the 16th July. We can also expect a Lonely Island performance at this year’s Emmy Awards. The 67th Primetime Emmy Awards will air LIVE coast-to-coast from the Nokia Theatre L.A. on Sunday, Sept. 20 (8:00-11:00 PM ET live/5:00-8:00 PM PT live) on FOX.
