Queen Elizabeth II received Angelina Jolie today to make her a Dame. This is the “Sir” for women. Actress Angelina Jolie is presented with the Insignia of an Honorary Dame Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George. Angelina Jolie received an honorary damehood (DCMG) for services to UK foreign policy and the campaign to end war zone sexual violence.
Angelina Jolie was joined by Brad Pitt and her kids at the Palace. There are though only photos of the Queen and Jolie.
The British Empire usually only awards British citizens damehood or sirhood. This is very special that Angelina Jolie, who is American receives this honor.
Jolie and Pitt just got married recently. So now she is Dame and a Wife.
Angelina Jolie had a big movie hit with Maleficent this year and is rumored to do Salt 2. She has also voiced the Trigress on the 2015 Kung Fu Panda 3 movie.
