Apple iPad Event is Already on Oct. 16

Apple is set to host another event this month to unveil the new iPad Air 2, Retina iMac and OS X Yosemite and maybe one more thing. Initial rumors said that the iPad event is on Tuesday, Oct. 21. Now Re/Code says their sources say that Apple will hold an event on Thursday Oct. 16. A Thursday event is a little odd for Apple.

Apple is supposed to unveil the new iPad Air 2, maybe new iPad minis, Retina iMac and OS X Yosemite. The Retina iMacs are rumored to feature a stunning 5K (5120 x 2880px) display. Sounds almost too good to be true.

The new iPads are expected to be faster, lighter and feature Touch ID and Apple Pay. Apple is also supposed to offer finally a gold variant of the iPad Air.

Check out our in-depth reports on the iPad evolution.
