In breaking news, Apple has reached a deal with GT Advanced.
GT Advanced Technologies field for bancruptcy unexpectedly earlier this month. The filing was a suprise as GT Advanced had a deal with Apple to make the sapphire crystal displays for iPhone and iWatch.
There were reports that Apple tried to keep documents under wraps to make sure no Apple secrets are getting out. Now Reuters reports that GT Advanced as settled with Apple. Under the deal GT Advanced Technologies will stop making sapphire materials and focus on the supply of equipment to make sapphire crystals movie forward. Apple would also get their pre-payment of $439 million somehow back without interest.
The Apple Watch is going to feature a sapphire glass. Apple has other suppliers to deliever the glasses for the Apple Watch.
