Apple unveils iOS 9 at WWDC

As expected Apple has announced its next version of iOS with some really nice intelligent features and a redesigned Siri. There are some really nice tweaks to improve the user experience like advance search results along with power saving features.

iOS 9 is even more smarter now and will be able to suggest the caller name if you receive a call from an unknown number by looking through your emails. It will also be able to predict your routine and your location according to the time. For instance if a user is in a gym and plug the earphones, iOS9 will automatically offer some really nice music for you to listen to and workout.

Privacy is a great concern these days and with celeb photos leaks, Apple has taken it seriously. According to Craig Federighi all the things done on the iPhone or iPad are never shared to the third party developers nor Apple has the access to your data. Apple has also updated few native apps in iOS9 like Notes and Maps.

With Notes you can now share webpages and draw doodles. Maps now transit directions which allows you to know departure times for each train on different subways. There is a new native app called “News” in iOS9 and yes Apple has finally provided a great source of daily news to its users. It allows you to choose your interests and few partners like New York Times and ESPN have already signed up.

Apple has seen a decline in the iPad sales and iOS was the main culprit. With iOS9 things are going to be changed as iPad will be much more productive with great multitasking features and yes long awaited split-screen feature. You can now run two apps simultaneously and interact with them at the same time. You can also watch your favorite movie while composing a mail you browsing the internet with picture-in-picture feature. iOS9 public beta will be available next month while rest of the users will be able to upgrade it for free this fall. Not to forget iOS9 supports all the devices running iOS8 and that too consuming lesser space unlike iOS8.
