The models receive faster Haswell processors and battery life upgrades

The MacBook Air lineup has recently received an update this morning and the new update is focused towards the slightly updated Intel’s Haswell processor and most importantly, all the models in the lineup have now been priced at $100 less as compared to the previous models. There are no changes as far as the device’s design is concerned and we are surely not looking forward to any major changes in the MacBook Air lineup until later this year.

Though there is no outward difference but the 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air models have received a bump in the internal setup which has now been upgraded to 1.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor. The RAM is quite impressive at 4 GB and there is 128GB of storage in the low-end configurations and 256GB of storage in the top 11-inch and 13-inch models. The base models received configuration with options which are built to order and can reach up to an impressive 1.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i7, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of flash storage. So the storage has certainly been getting some bump here.

The battery life has also been upgraded for the newer models to support the iTunes movie playback. The 11 inch model is going to receive a jump from 8 hours to 9 hours and the 13-inch model from 10 hours to 12 hours. Some major changes and upgraded will only follow later this year and most possibly with the release of a 12-inch MacBook with Retina display.
