Apple Watch is a Very Different First Version

When Apple unveiled the first iPhone it was only a GSM device. 3G was though already quite common. The first iPad mini did not have a Retina display despite the fact that the iPad and the iPhone already shipped with one. First versions of a new product category Apple launched had a solid foundation but offered only key functionality. The Apple Watch comes out of the gate with a very wide feature set. You can use it as health and fitness device, communication device, music player, iPhone companion, digital Wallet and of course time keeping. 3rd party apps will add much more features when the Apple Watch will be released in Spring of 2015.

Is this wide feature set confuse users or is this versatility key? iPhone users are already used to the extreme versatility of the iPhone. Apple seems to have replicated that broad functionality to the Apple Watch. It will be interesting to see which features are defining the Apple Watch. Is it the health and fitness aspect or maybe the Digital Touch communication features?
