Apple Watch looking to be leader in wrist wearables

Microsoft band could be tops in market

The Apple Watch is certainly making 2015 to look like one of the big years to date when it comes to mobile computer accessories and the new wearables market. If everything stays on course and the rumors and news start to pan out, the Apple Watch could be in the hands of the consumer by as early as March of this year. Wearable technology dominated at the recent International Consumer Electronics Show with smartbands and smartwatches being a part of that. Blogger Buster Hein of the website Cult of Mac believes that the Apple Watch could be the market leader when it comes to bands and smartwatches.

Hein at first was skeptical of the Apple Watch because he believed that it would not have any purpose and that it was just another techie type gadget that will have a short lived fad life. Hein attended CES 2015 and he said that after looking at other smartwatches and health and fitness smartbands at the convention, the Apple Watch should be able to top the competition easily. Hein stated that he talked with several leading analysts at CES 2015 and they told him that ‘nothing stood out’ and that Apple should most definitely become the standard for smartbands and smartwatches when the Apple Watch is released to the consumer market.

Hein says that the Apple Watch will be able to top the smartband and smartwatch market because it will have several functions. Hein noted four of them such as being a two way communication device, a digital and mobile wallet, is very fashionable, and simply it is able to put your digital devices on to your wrist. Hein went on to say that the wearables products that caught his eye at CES 2015 were ones that compliment the iPhone and that it will be innovative apps and their developers that will decide the future success and sustainability of the Apple Watch. Still, Hein believes that the Apple Watch will be the market dominator in the smartwatch and smartband market for years to come.
