Many apps are being updated to support Apple Watch

It is now time for the developers to try and make their space onboard the Apple Watch which is only a few days away from its official launch and the pre orders will begin from April 10th. Uber seems to be all set for the Apple Watch launch as it has announced its update for the iPhone app which also includes the app for the watch. Their app gives users the convenience of asking for rides in one action and also checking on the drivers’ progress. The app for the New York Times is also ready and now it is adding one sentence stories to its portfolio which is also going to add in some interesting emoji-driven recipes along with quick headlines.

The Apple Watch will enable push notifications for the breaking news which you users will be able to view right off their wrists. You can read off the headlines and the full stories can be saved to be read at a later time on the iPhones which have bigger screens. Flipboard’s app has also been updated this weekend with the update including support for the watch. The details still haven’t emerged clear regarding how their signature news reading is going to be transferred to the watch which has an extremely limited SDK for the developers. According to the notes, the app on the watch is going to display the top ten stories depending on the personal preferences.

The app also includes support for Force Touch which will be found in the menus for sharing your news stories with friends. Other apps include Wechat, Line messenger, Evernote and ECB cricket which are now updated for the Apple Watch. Though Apple has already unveiled numerous apps for the Apple Watch, the company is still not allowing developing to put up their apps for the review. The opening up of the review process will apparently let even more developers to experiment with the watch’s platform prior to the April 24th launch.
