Archos to unveil two LTE smartphones

Archos has announced that it will be rolling out its very first 4G LTE smartphones at CES 2014. The smartphones will run Android 4.3 for the OS and fall into the company’s Helium range. Archos says that the smartphones will start at under $200.

The first of the LTE smartphones is the Archos 45 Helium 4G that features a 4.5-inch screen using IPS technology. The phone has a 1.4GHz quad core processor. The second LTE phone is the Archos 50 Helium 4G. It has a 5-inch screen with a native resolution of 1280 x 720.

The smartphone also has 8GB of storage and an 8MP rear camera. Both phones are upgradable to Android KitKat. The Archos 45 has 4GB of storage and both smartphones have a microSD card slot for expansion.

The 45 has a 5MP rear camera and both have front cameras. Other features include Bluetooth 3.0 and integrated WiFi. Both smartphones can also be used as a WiFi hotspot. The Archos 45 Helium will sell for $199.99 with the Archos 50 Helium selling for $249.99.
