Ashton Kutcher Remodels Lowa Home as a Mother's Day Gift

Ashton Kutcher put all Mother’s Day gifts to shame when he remodeled his mother Diane’s home as a gift.



On Mother’s day most children opt for a card and flowers to gift to their mothers but not Ashton Kutcher. Kutcher the 37 year old actor and entrepreneur dreamed of remodeling his mother’s house in Homestead, Iowa one day. 

The home was first digitally renovated by Kutcher using the app Houzz he has recently invested in. Houzz is an online design app which allows renovation digitally and Ashton used it to remodel the house in Iowa from Los Angeles. The renovation process of the home was also placed as a documentary on the website for the app Houzz.

Ashton shared remodeling the house was his way of saying ‘Thank You’ to his mother who has been a great influence in his life. Ashton claimed his parents gave him everything while making sacrifices themselves and the life he has today is because of them, so saying thank you is the right thing to do.

Ashton also revealed he built the house in Iowa with his stepdad Mark, when he was 13 years old. Although his family has moved out of the house as they outgrew the place but he wanted to expand it for his growing family as his mother would be having a lot of grandchildren over. Kutcher recently had a daughter with Mila Kunis and his sister previously had a boy.

In the documentary Ashton is seen enlisting the help of his step-dad Mark in renovating the home as described his bond with his stepdad is very solid. Ashton then claimed he’s very lucky and blessed to have two father and so much of love in his life. After the remodeling when Ashton revealed the house to his mother she seemed ecstatic and started crying.
