Asus unveils its latest Windows 8.1 tablet
Asus has officially unveiled the VivoTab Note 8 tablet at CES 2014 this week. The tablet had been rumored for a while and this is the first time that the tablet has been officially talked about by Asus. The tablet also has a Wacom Digitizer Stylus for pen-based tablet input. The tablet comes bundled with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote so it is ready for work or class. The tablet is very light at 380g and it is designed to be used with one hand.
The processor under the hood is an Atom Z3740 unit and the battery promises up to eight hours of run time per charge. The Atom processor is paired with 2GB of RAM and up to 64GB of storage space. The tablet also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
The 8-inch screen has a resolution of 1280 x 800. The tablet also has a 5MP rear camera and a HD resolution front camera. The dimensions for the tablet are 220.9 x 133.8 x 10.95mm.
