The iconic Blues singer, B.B.King’s burial service is to take place in his native town in Mississippi on this Saturday, /4/23rd. The name of the venue is Indianola.

He was a living legend and will always be despite his passing away at a ripe old age. B.B.King is no more and the beautiful songs he belted out will continue to inspire many via their pleasurable listening value. He is to be laid to rest in an area in his hometown of Indianola, Mississippi where he began singing for the first time. 

King’s funeral will proceed in such a manner that his coffin will be driven from Memphis, Tennessee to Handy Park from where it travel all the way to his native provenance of Indianola. His close friends and family will get to see him before the burial in Indianola. As for the last rites, they will be administered at a Baptist church.

B.B.King has won more than a dozen Grammys and is also a member of the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame. His birth in 1925 in a family of farmers was an event that couldn’t have been taken as an indicator of his later success and genius-like caliber of vision as a musician. King was brought up by his granny after his mother and father got divorced.

As a teenager, King spent time operating a tractor on the fields and then began playing gospel songs in the community church. Later on his gigs went on to win him fame in clubs and the radio. Pretty soon B.B.King became a household word. 

He had his residence in Las Vegas and died there a few days ago at the age of 89. Most of his life, King spent his time travelling on the road and entertaining various crowds of R&B enthusiasts. He will be remembered as a legend among legends and the man who really brought sweet dulcet notes to the ears of many a troubled soul who was soothed by his music.
