Last Black Friday the price for a 32-inch HDTV fell for the first time under $100. Where will the price point go this year?

One of the most anticipated Black Friday deals each year are on 32-inch bargain HDTVs. The sweetspot of biggest savings has long moved on to larger screen models, but somehow consumers love the get their hands on the rock bottom priced 32-inch TVs. Last year, the price of the 32-inch LED HDTV fell for the first time under $100. Walmart and Amazon offered a $98 32-inch HDTV. This was actually a prediction we got right last year.
Walmart offered the Funai LF320FX4F 32-inch HDTV at the $98 price. Amazon matched this Walmart Black Friday deal with the Seiki SE32HY10 featuring LED, 720p, 60Hz and 3 HDMI ports.
Amazon is selling the Seiki SE32HY10 right now priced at $179.99. So you still would save about 45% with last year’s Black Friday deal. The lowest price of a 32-inch LED TV is right now on Amazon $169.99. Walmart’s lowest price for a 32-inch LED HDTV is $149.
Given the hype around the 32-inch LED HDTV we predict the price to break below $80. Will a $79 32-inch LED HDTV be offered in with a guarantee in stock option remains to be seen. It is though save to say that you will be able to save almost 50% on a 32-inch LED HDTV on Black Friday 2014 compared to today’s deals.
