Bose Speakers return to Apple Stores Again

AppStore

After around 2 months Bose products are being seen once again at Apple stores.

Apple has finally introduced Bose products to its stores especially the very popular Sound Link III/ Mini Bluetooth speakers and QuietComfort acoustic noise cancelling headphones.  These speakers are once again going to be sold by Apple along with its Beats branded speakers and headphones that was acquired by Apple earlier this year for an amount of $3 billion.

Bose’s products return to Apple stores after nearly a break of two months in which the high quality speakers were pulled out from both Apple’s online stores and retail stores. Moreover Apple had provided no explanation about this action of pulling out Bose products.

Bose products disappeared from Apples stores on 17th October without an explanation by any party. However it seems that this was due to a patent complaint filed by Bose against Beats Electronics shortly after it was revealed that Apple accepted to purchase the competing headphone company.

Bose accused Beats Electronics of violating several of their patents related to noise cancellation and other audio technologies with its Beats Studio and Studio Wireless headphones.  However Bose and Beats Electronics settled out of court before the products were pulled out than why did Apple take such an action?

Plus an advertising agreement made between Bose and the NFL showed players appearing on camera during events with the Beats headphones being fined. This created much more disagreement between Apple’s popular Beats and Bose.

However now finally it seems that both these companies have worked out on these problems and so Bose products are going to be available once again to shoppers on Apple’s stores. Even though Apple has managed to solve problems with Bose, the Fitbit fitness tracking accessories still cannot be bought from Apple’s stores. This is thought to be due to the Apple Watch that is going to be launched soon to the consumers.

The return of Bose can also be due to the Beats being banned by NFL and this has negatively impacted the Beats sales. However the Beats co-founder Jimmy Iovine was quite happy and stated that he was pleased with the attention his product was getting due to the ban and said that he did not believe that he was such a lucky guy. He also expressed that the ban made Beats look like superheroes.

Now the return of the Bose products also seems quite astonishing as even if the feud is settled between the two, they are still selling competing products. So it does not make any sense that why would Apple re-introduce Bose products which are in competition to Beats products?

Well whatever the reasons of re-introducing Bose products to its stores the consumers are quite happy as they get to choose from a variety of the best products that are available on the market. Now time will tell us whether Beats is the more selling brand or Bose?
