The man, who was the top adviser to Saddam Hussein, was killed early this morning.
Iraqi television announced only moments ago that Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, a former top adviser to Saddam Hussein and one of the most dangerous men in the world, was killed by an Iraqi insurgence. He was the highest-ranking member of the former Iraqi leader’s team to not come under US custody.
The man, one of the most well known by all American military personnel, helped to finance some of the terrorist attacks and missions that the army developed. He was also known as the “King of Clubs” to most members – meaning he was on the King card on the military cards.
There have been some reports that he was in Syria, but there have been no more details released at this time.
Stay tuned for more news.
