Chris Pine recently starred in Disney’s new movie, Into the Woods
Chris has been reveling into different kinds of genres lately
Upon being queried about the sequel to Jack Ryan, he said it won’t be possible and was one of his biggest regrets
Chris Pine did play the ‘charming’ guy in Princess Diaries 2 and although he wasn’t the Prince, he definitely caught a lot of girls’ attention. He had been that charming guy in chick-flicks like Just My Luck and Blind Dating.
He definitely made his mark on Hollywood when he took the role of James Tiberius Kirk in the 2009 remake of Star Wars along with Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto.
Chris emerged as a rising star and took on various movies which were commercial successes like Unstoppable and This Means War. This was followed by the sequel to the Star Trek franchise, Into Darkness.
The success of the movie led Kenneth Brannagh to cast Chris in the 2014 remake of Jack Ryan. Already played by Harrison Ford and Alec Baldwin, the super spy had a legitimate fan following but unfortunately, Chris’s version of Jack Ryan failed to grab any special attention.
It wasn’t a bad year though for Chris as he starred in the sequel of Horrible Bosses and the hit Disney dark adaption of Sodhenheim’s Into the Woods.
While being surrounded by a major star cast, Chris managed to shine on his own as Prince Charming alongside Anna Kendrick who is already a musical veteran (Pitch Perfect). He admitted he had been nervous to be in a musical but it turned out as a great experience.
Upon being asked about a sequel to the Jack Ryan franchise, he admitted that it did not turn out as anticipated and didn’t made enough money to have a sequel. He counted it as a regret in his career. He wished that another part would be made with another actor and a better story but as long as he was concerned, it might be the end of his Jack Ryan days.
