Chris Pratt struggled with weight problem throughout his career. The 35-year old actor, whose upcoming adventure film “Jurassic World” is set to release next week, opened up about his weight struggles with U.K.’s magazine “Men’s Health”. The issue is coming out in July.

Pratt recalls the time when he was hovering around the 300lb mark as he wanted to gain weight for the series Parks and Recreation back in 2009.

“I announced it to the cast, and then it became a bit of a game, how fat can I get and how fast. I would eat four burgers at every read. I became really fat.”

Talking about the difficulties he faced after putting on so much weight, Pratt said. “I had real health issues that were affecting me in a major way. It’s bad for your heart, your skin, your system, your spirit.”

Even his relationship with actress Anna Faris did not helped him getting rid of this problem, in fact, the situation got a lot worse.

“I’d fallen in love with a woman who loved to feed her man. I was her little Hansel out in the woods and she was fattening me up to put me in the fire. It was like Momma Bear and Papa Bear. She would eat a little bit, I would eat all of mine and the rest of hers.”

Six months no beer. #GOTG Kinda douchey to post this but my brother made me.

After “Zero Dark Thirty” a film where he cut a lot of weight, Pratt decided to stay slim and not to get fat again.

“I’d gone back and forth, lost weight for Moneyball, got fat again, then trimmed down for Zero Dark Thirty, then gained it all back again for Andy. That’s when I saw Zero Dark Thirty and right after walking out I was like: I’m going to get in shape and I’m never going to fat again.”

How does it feel after eating healthy and, of course, less? Chris Pratt says.

“When I was fat and unhappy, the only moments of respite I got were when I was eating. I felt great shoveling food down my neck and totally negative in between. Now mealtimes are sometimes lame, because that’s the way it can be when you’re eating healthily. But all the times between meals, I feel great.”
