Chris Wallace and Mike Gallagher apologized to Kelly Clarkson for making comments about her post-pregnancy weight

The 67 years old, Fox anchor Chris Wallace headed out on The Mike Gallagher Show this Friday and the conversation somehow turned to Gallagher’s own weight. Gallagher at 54 was shammed about the weight and it was alright because the guy was right there. It went on for a little while before Gallagher made a comment about Kelly Clarkson to take away the focus off of himself.

He started by commenting that; “Have you seen Kelly Clarkson? You know the singer, Kelly Clarkson? Holy cow, did she blow up.” According to Wallace he tried to stay out of it.

He even commented that Kelly had a lovely voice but he soon got caught in the moment and proceed with a comment of his own; “She could stay off the deep dish pizza for a little while,” literally called ‘fat shamming’ now, both the media persons participated in commenting over the post pregnancy weight Kelly has put on.

They got extensive social media rebuttal for their insolence against the American Idol sweetheart. With a ‘love your body’ wave going around, both the anchors got seriously lashed for their fat shamming comments. So much so that Wallace was called out by Fox News colleague Greta Van Susteren to apologize for his “fat shaming.”

The men have finally realized their mistake and took to apologizing to Kelly for their obtrusive comments. Wallace came out with an official apology saying, “I sincerely apologize to Kelly Clarkson for my offensive comment. I admire her remarkable talent and that should have been the focus of any discussion about her.”

Gallagher took to apologizing on social media and he wrote, “Tubby Mike is the last person in the world who should bring up anyone’s weight. I couldn’t possibly feel any worse than I do for making an observation that led to the conclusion that I ‘fat-shamed’ this talented and classy entertainer. It was a really stupid thing for me to do.”

According to US Weekly, Kelly Clarkson is yet to comment on her ‘fat shamming’ but having spoken earlier in the week on the weight issue on Ellen Degeneres show, Kelly might just have to sit back and do nothing as these men seemed to have apologized on their own without her saying a single word.
