Christie Brinkley Eye gets injured due to Bird Attack

Supermodel Christie Brinkley injures herself while trying to save a bird. The supermodel was on a vacation when she tried to save a bird and got injured.

It is impossible to tell by her looks that supermodel Christie Brinkley is 61 years old. Well we are not discussing her age today, what we are going to tell you is about the injury she received recently.

While Christie was on a vacation in Turks and Caicos to the Parrot Cay she had a nasty accident. Christie was trying to save a bird when she got into this accident and got her eye injured.

Recently on her Instagram account the model uploaded a photo of hers in a hospital gown with scratches and stitches just above her left eye.  

We interrupt this holiday to take a little unplanned excursion to Miami for cat scans and stitches following an accident trying to save a bird. My grateful heartfelt thanks go out to our wonderful Parrot Cay Family who got me to the boat and plane, and my friends in Miami who found my A Team at University of Miami Hospital led by Dr Askari and his professional caring and adorable team and to my bestie @artminster who spent her much needed and deserved holiday by my bedside .. Alongside the picture she wrote, “We interrupt this holiday to take a little unplanned excursion to Miami for cat scans and stitches following an accident trying to save a bird.” She also thanked all the people that stood by her side and took care of her. 

However even this injury did not stop the 61 year old model from enjoying her vacation as she was back within no time on the Parrot Cay and shared a beautiful view of the ocean and the clouds on her Instagram account.

I’m back in Parrot Cay and is it my imagination ( or the bump on my head ? ) that has me seeing the clouds as B A E (before anything Else) which is reserved for very special sweet people like all of you who wrote such kind well wishes…I think this sunset is for all of Y O U! Thank you BAE!

She also posted a picture of her beautiful daughter Alexa Ray Joel in a hat and bikini out on the beach. It seemed that she is enjoying her vacation as she had planned after this small bump.

I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again Parrot Cay is. A place where Heaven touches the Earth and while I believe its up to us to find beauty and something to be grateful for no matter where you are it sure is easy to count my many blessing here.. Starting today with all of YOU .. Just reading thru many kind comments restores my faith in humanity ..after all regardless of your faith if we are not loving and supportive kind and compassionate with each other then we are letting every religion down. I knew the very sweet , cheerful innovater Dr. Frederick Brandt not well or for long but i know he dedicated his life to helping people feel beautiful and good about themselves.. Yet I read in the paper that people made him feel so bad about himself that he took his own life.this breaks my heart. Bullying breaks my heart. I know I am speaking to a chorus of super kind and compassionate people here because Ive read your sweetness in your words but lets all promise each other to try to be brave and stand up to bullying. There were certain areas that simply were not fair game back in the day .. Physical appearance, a person challenged in some way… We had a President who had polio the press allowed him to not reveal that if he was not comfortable with that. We need to redefine our boundaries of whats acceptable .. We all want and need to laugh in this crazy world but lets never let that laugh be at the expense of a life. #RIPDr.Brandt #intheendonlykindnessmatters
