Google is upgrading its HDMI dongle with new features on the way
Chromecast can finally mirror your Android device’s screen
The HDMI dongle of Google is getting a little update which has something to do with accessing our phone data on a television. With Chromecast you will be able to have your phone’s screen displayed on your living room television. This feature was demonstrated on the stage with Google Earth and even Android’s video camera app.
A little more personalization is also being added to the HDMI dongle with the Google+ photo albums with which you can customize the images of that ambient feed. In case you don’t want your album pictures here, you can search through the geographically filtered pictures from Google’s vast image catalog. It is to be kept in mind that your albums are curated by Google, so they’re ensured (in theory) to be safe and high quality. This feature called Backdrop will be available this summer.
