The Coca-Cola Super Bowl 2014 Ad was uneventful. We did not even post a feature story about it. But now it is the only Super Bowl 2014 Ad that causes a controversy. Last year the Coca-Cola Super Bowl ad was called racist. This year the right wing is outraged about the liberal views communicated in the ad.

The Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl 2014. The Seahawks smashed the Broncos with 43 to 8. The Budweiser Super Bowl Ad Puppy Love won the most important Super Bowl 2014 Ad ranking. There are no dirty joke and no naked skin (besides that of David Beckham and Bodybuilders). But we still got a big controversial Super Bowl Ad. The Coca-Cola Super Bowl 2014 Ad titled America Is Beautiful causes an uproar in the right wing. The ad has people sing America is Beautiful in different languages. This alone outrages conservatives. The ad also shows the first gay parents in a Super Bowl ad. This of course also does not sit well with conservatives.

Coca-Cola says about the ad: “Set to “America the Beautiful” sung by Americans in seven languages, the spot features scenes showcasing the country’s expansive landscapes — from the Pacific shores to the desert Southwest — interspersed with American neighborhoods, metro cityscapes and tucked-away cafes. “It’s Beautiful” was created to celebrate Coke moments among all Americans who together enjoy ice-cold, refreshing Coke. The ad provides a snapshot of the real lives of Americans representing diverse ethnicities, religions, races and families, all found in the United States.”

Coca-Cola just has bad luck or better said good luck. This ad is beautiful but rather boring. The right wing controversy is now giving it the PR it deserves. The same thing happened to the Coca-Cola Super Bowl Ad last year. The racist controversy made the ad even more popular. The racist claim was really far fetched.

Super Bowl 2014 is history and it ended with a historic win of the Seattle Seahawks. The big game will be played in the Metlife stadium in East Rutherford. It was the first outdoor, cold-weather Super Bowl but not the coldest in history. Watch all Super Bowl 2014 commercials in our Super Bowl 2014 Ad Gallery.
