Derek Zoolander and Hansel hit runway at Paris Fashion Week for Zoolander 2

The release schedule of the movie Zoolander 2 has been announced by Paramount Pictures. It will hit theaters next year on Feb. 12th. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson blaze down the Maison Valentino runway at Paris Fashion Week and announced the release date for Zoolander 2.

The modeling world film Zoolander came out in 2001 and featured Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. Ben with his blue steel looks was the ridiculously good-looking model with a low IQ. The movie also showed the eccentric Mugatu played by Will Ferrell.

In case of Zoolander 2, the launch date is set for February 12, 2016. Derek & Hansel blaze down the Maison Valentino runway at Paris Fashion Week and announced the release date for Paramount Pictures’ Zoolander 2.

This time around both Derek Zoolander played by Ben Stiller and his friend Hansel played by Owen Wilson are left high and dry in the modeling game. They used to be well-known but ever since they gave up for awhile, they have been reduced to pariahs.

Fashion is a forward-looking industry and anyone who decides to opt out will become a non-entity in no time. This appears to be what has happened to both Zoolander and Hansel. They thus have to devise a strategy or fashion statement whereby they /4/seek a reintroduction into the modeling business. This means that they have to literally reinvent themselves.

Ben Stiller’s real-life wife will be playing the role of a journalist in the movie. And the kooky and nutty Mugatu /4/have a cameo appearance as well. But the new addition is none other than Penelope Cruz who will possibly play a female rival to Zoolander’s male ego. 

Paramount Pictures wants to capture the superficial and surface surrealistic survival universe of modeling in Zoolander 2. The constant obsession with image and small things as zits and skin pockmarks is explored.

As the Paris Fashion Week runway models prance and shimmy their routines onstage, the competition heats up as those with even the slightest amount of weight gain are weeded out. It’s a cruel field and a dog-eat-dog world of cutthroat craziness.

Pics of Ben and Owen in serious poses in various outfits have appeared on Twitter. And a pic with Anna Wintour shows the two displaying speak no evil and hear no evil modes of being.

The movie will probably have audiences appearing to view it in scads. The reason is that it touches a raw nerve within everybody. Whereas nobody admits very openly that he or she wants to be a model, in fact everybody yearns for the publicity and perks.

And this is the unembellished truth whether anyone likes it or not. Although it is a display profession that has as much depth in it as a drop of water about to evaporate beneath the desert sun, modeling is still a very attractive profession for one’s inner youth.
