Sling TV has now added nearly 200 international channels in 18 different languages for its viewers. The network plans to take on its competitor with an added advantage.
Starting from today Dish Network’s on-demand international service has a new name ‘Sling International’. Formerly it was known as the DishWorld the network.
Sling International now adds more than 200 international channels in 18 different languages including Arabic, Bangla, Bengali, Brazilian, Cantonese, Filipino, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Mandarin, Marathi, Punjabi, Taiwanese, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu and Vietnamese..
The package starts at just $15 and viewers will be able to access it through the Sling TV apps or through a new Sling International app.
Moreover there is great news for the new customers as they will be able to try the service with a one month free trail. The updated language groups to the network include Bengali, Kannada and Marathi.
The CEO of Sling TV, Roger Lynch stated that the Sling TV grew from the foundation established by DishWorld and has enabled the company to grow and further develop its OTT capabilities through a service that streams tens of millions of hours of content every month.
Apart from this Dish is all the first company which has rolled out a significant on-demand TV service. Moreover there are rumors that Apple is also planning to launch its own service later in the year.
