The drop dead gorgeous actress, Elizabeth Banks was lauded recently by her costars Jennifer Garner and Jennifer Lawrence.

Elizabeth Banks spoke about how she and Jennifer Garner used to work in a restaurant in the Big Apple once upon a time. And she also said that Annette Bening advised her to just go for it as far as a career in acting was concerned. At an event after the Hunger Games star, Jennifer Lawrence made a lighthearted intro Elizabeth Banks took the microphone and made an offbeat speech.

Among other things she expatiated about how Annette warned her that no matter what she read or what movies she made, in Tinsel Town she would get less money than expected. That was because the top spots were already occupied by the likes of Denzel Washington who earned tenfold what she earned.

Banks said that nevertheless she was excited to be getting advice from such a sex symbol as Annette Bening who was the wife of Warren Beatty. Jennifer Garner was another person who was a big support system at one point in Elizabeth’s life. That was when the two were working odd jobs at a NYC eatery.

Jennifer Garner was a hostess there while Elizabeth was a waitress. Elizabeth later on found out that Jennifer Garner had landed a spot on television. She was thus inspired to follow in her footsteps and become a star herself.

“When I was in drama school, Annette Bening came to [give a speech]. “And that’s the bulls— I’ve been doing since then. F—ing studying Chekhov and Shakespeare. F—ing making a porno movie [Zack and Miri Make a Porno],” stated Banks.

“So, I went to drama school and Annette came and she was very forthcoming about all types of [problems in Hollywood] like not getting paid enough money, because her costar Denzel Washington was going to make like 10 times as much money as her, and all these amazing things.”

Meanwhile, at the event, which happened to be the Elle Party dedicated to Women of Hollywood, Jennifer Lawrence of Hunger Games fame had a few hilariously poignant words to say about Elizabeth.

Lawrence said that her real surname was not Banks but Mitchell and she had just changed that one for the sake of fame. Amidst extensive laughter from the audience Lawrence said that Elizabeth had her one-line fame in a number of movies up until now.

“I have had the pleasure of working with this gifted actress for the past few years on the unfortunate box office flop, The Hunger Games,” Lawrence said. “I constantly marvel at the versatility of Elizabeth. She’s a chameleon escaping into every role she plays. Whatever the movie, her performances are always honest and heartfelt. As audience members, we know the women she plays are very real and that’s why directors want to constantly work with her.”

Then she joked that Elizabeth was from Pittsfield and it said on the teleprompter that people from that area were intelligent…and she did not know that. It was all taken with a grain of salt and in good humor and Elizabeth smiled and spoke to the audience when her turn came at the microphone.
