Ellen DeGeneres asked Portia de Rossi some pretty tough questions when she appeared in the hot seat on her talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Despite being her lesbian partner, Portia de Rossi got no leniency from Ellen DeGeneres. Portia came was in for an intense Q & A session on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday, October 14th.

It’s been half a dozen years or so since 56-year-old Ellen and 41-year-old Portia tied the knot in a gay marriage, but Ellen didn’t consider those years spent together to be sufficient reason to go easy on Portia.

She even led Portia through a difficult physical task on the show much to the surprise of the audience. Portia was asked uncomfortable questions such as what her future prospects were as far as adopting a baby was concerned.

Then she was queried about her TV show Scandal and her role in it. When Ellen got straightforward enough to ask the progeny question, Portia said that it would be so much fun if the two could have a baby. Then she became realistic enough to reply in the negative that there was no chance of that happening anytime soon.

“One of the main things that everybody’s asking me about and asking you about, and I thought I would let you clear it up, is, if we’re having a baby or not,” Ellen DeGeneres questioned her wife.

“It would be so fun for everybody if we were, wouldn’t it?” Portia de Rossi said. “No… we’re not…”

Portia also opted for the tank dunk challenge where she entered a small glass enclosure with water in it. Ellen announced that breast cancer awareness research was taking place in conjunction with Ulta Beauty.

The moment a celeb took a dip in the dunk tank, the organization donated $10,000 to the worthy cause. “All month long, we’ve been partnering with Ulta Beauty to raise awareness for breast cancer research,” DeGeneres explained.

“For every person that gets dunked, they will donate $10,000. Today that person is going to be my lovely wife Portia de Rossi.”

Ellen looked proud as she said that today her beautiful partner was going to be that person who would sacrifice public primness and prudence for the sake of a larger aim.

Ellen then hit a target several times with balls till she hit the bull’s eye and Portia fell into the dunk tank. One thing which is clear as the light of day though is that both Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi don’t have any plans as far as having kids is concerned.

According to the two, while they loved little children and thought they were cute, there were simply too many glass items in the house. Of course, they said this in a humorous manner and really meant that they did not want any children in the first place.
