The new feature allows users to catch up with friends close to your location

The mobile app users are going to get a new treat from Facebook as they launch a new exciting feature which is called the Nearby Friends. This new interactive feature allows the app users to stay in touch with your friends on Facebook, provided they are close to your location. The feature is coming to Android and iOS devices and will reach the US in the coming weeks and will be disabled by default so you will have to enable it.

In order for this app to work, users will have to disclose their own location as well but for some poeple who have privacy issues can decided whom to share this information with. On the other side, your friends will also have to share their information with you so you can see them. Once this feature has been enabled on the phone, you will get a notification every time your friends get closer to your location and if you want your friends to know exactly where you are then you can share your precise location.
