First New York Adult Film Festival features James Franco

New York gets its first annual adult film festival organized by Secret Project Robot, a nonprofit art organization.

The first annual New York Adult Film Festival is set to kick off in Brooklyn beginning on February 27th at 5:30pm, and ending on March 1st at Midnight. The adult movie event will feature screenings, talks, and parties centered on addressing the cultural implications of pornography in the modern age. It is surprising that New York does not have an annual adult film festival yet.

The adult film festival will screen short and feature length films by Miley Cyrus (Tongue Tied), James Franco (Kink) and Tila Tequila.

Popular online adult movie destination Pornhub is sponsoring the first NYC Adult Film Festival 2015.

The festival hopes to spark dialogue about pornography and its place in mainstream culture to ultimately reconsider long-held stigmas surrounding adult content, sex, and lifestyles by exploring a plethora of pornographic offerings from amateur filmmakers and celebrities set to breach a number of existing cinematic porn trends, provide unique takes on existing ones, and even create new, mind-bending alternatives by blending genres and styles.
