Ford has introduced its new plans and experiments that will change the way the world moves by solving today’s growing global transportation challenges at the CES 2015 in Las Vegas.

Ford announced that its new Smart Mobility Plan will use innovation and will take the company to the next level in mobility, connectivity and customer experience.

The company at the CES 2015 also announced 25 mobility experiments around the world this year in order to break through transportation ideas to create better customer experiences and more flexible user-ship models and social collaboration that will be able reward customers.

Mark Fields the President and CEO of Ford stated that even when the company displays connected cars and shares its plans for autonomous vehicles the company is here at the CES for a higher purpose.

He explained that the driving innovation in every part of their business is their founder Henry Ford who changed the way the world moved 111 years ago. He explained that it’s the company’s responsibility to do this now.

Apart from this the company is displaying its SYNC 3 which is the most advanced vehicle connectivity system. The company has also been highlighting semi-autonomous vehicles which the company has on the road today and even fully autonomous vehicles which are now under development.

Now talking about the 25 other global mobility experiments we start by explaining that eight of these are in North America, nine in Europe and Africa, one in South America and seven in Asia. Each of these experiments by the company has been designed in a way that they will anticipate what customers will want and need in tomorrow’s transportation ecosystem.

Mark Fields then stated that the company sees a world where the vehicles will talk to one another in order to communicate with the infrastructure around them in order to relieve congestion. He also stated that the company’s experiments have been undertaken as they will lead to an all-new model of transportation and mobility in the future.

These 25 experiments basically address four of the global trends which include explosive population growth, air quality and public health concerns, an expanding middle class and the changing attitudes of the customers. These problems that are faced by everyone challenge today’s transportation model and limits the personal mobility especially in the urban areas.

Some of these experiments include Remote Repositioning, Dynamic Social Shuttle, Car Swap, Share-Car, and Ford Carsharing, Rapid Recharge & share, Parking Spotter and many more. These experiment and the SYNC 3 will be displayed at the CES 2015 in Las Vegas from the 6th till the 9th of January.
