The pre-ordering of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge begins on the 15th of October and it was due to hit the consumer market on October 29th, but Samsung Australia has delayed the availability of the devices.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was launched last month in Australia and its sales were due to start on the 29th of October. The pre-ordering on the phone began on the 15th of October. However, the availability of the phone has been delayed till the 5th of November, according to Samsung Australia

Samsung Electronics Australia said that they have pushed forward the release date of Galaxy Note 4 and now it will hit the retail shelves on Wednesday, November 5th. In addition to this they said that the pre-ordering on the phone will start from Wednesday, October 15th and they are really sorry for the inconvenience.

Even before the launch of Galaxy Note 4, Samsung was able to identify potential problems with it and they have released a software update to fix these issues. The firmware update in question is XXU1ANJ4 and it is anticipated to fix numerous issues, battery life improvement being the most important one.

People who have used the phone including Marques Brownlee, Michael Kukielka and Danny Winget complained about the battery life. They said that the Note 4 has a shorter battery life than expected.

Brownlee said on Twitter that he is hoping it’s just a coincidence, but his Samsung Galaxy Note 4’s battery life has been awful. He had to recharge his battery twice in one day.

According to Winget, he was actually experiencing a “decent battery life,” but yesterday after 5 hours of on-screen time, his battery got dead. He said, “It is the screen though. It is a battery drainer!”

On the contrary, Phone Arena found that the battery life of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is much better than any other smartphone offering a QHD display. It was also better than both the models of iPhone 6. The battery of Galaxy Note 4 offers 8 hours and 43 minutes talk-time, according to the publication test.
