Cablevision has cooperated with HBO for the provision of HBO NOW. This will take place through Optimum Online (Internet and Optimum WiFi).

Cablevision and HBO made the claim today that they have reached an understanding regarding the provision of HBO NOW through Optimum Online. Optimum is the sole such cable provider which has hooked up with HBO to lend the new facility.

As for its launch date, it will be in April when the showers bring new flowers. This is the exact time when Game of Thrones will air its next episode. The CEO of Cablevision spoke of how the company was empowering Optimum Online consumers to benefit from content in any way possible.

Furthermore the CEO said that HBO NOW was being kept afloat thanks to a helping hand by the company. HBO NOW offers simultaneous programming thereby letting its viewers watch quality content.

This includes within its repertoire: each and every episode of every series fathomable and some of the coolest and best blockbuster movies from Tinsel Town. Besides this, docudramas, games, humor and music clips will get featured among the variegated contents. Pay TV channels and “TV to Go” will also get displayed on the platform.

As for the charge rates, they will be decided upon in a couple of weeks’ time. The experience of Wi-Fi via an online extravaganza of television wonderland is something that cannot be obtained anywhere else.

The region around the Big Apple will be the first one to get the service. The whole thing holds great attraction value and viewership appeal for the consumer base. This is the ideal opportunity for HBO NOW to stream its contents through Cablevision.

The New York metropolitan area will be where the phenomenon starts in the first place. And many of the local inhabitants couldn’t wait to get their eyes on Game of Thrones with its heroes and heroines.

As the world shifts from standard television sets to mobile smart phones and tablets not to mention “wearable devices” for its entertainment needs, such business proposals will become more and more of an everyday occurrence.

Apple too is in on the game and wants a piece of the action. So it has approached some programming experts and gone ahead to plan the launch of its online television service in the fall of 2015. We have to see how HBO NOW and Apple fare as competitors. The consumers of the future await their services with rapt attention.
