The 90, family sitcom will be aired with a new title “Fuller House”

House Full is officially coming back to the television with some of the old faces from the original show. Netflix made the announcement on Monday, confirming the revival of 90’s family sitcom with a new updated title “Fuller House”.

“The continued support of Full House fans of all ages for the last 28 years has been astounding. It is an honor and a thrill to catch up with these beloved characters and explore their lives today. The love you saw on the show was real. The cast has remained a loving family off screen all these years. We are as excited as our fans to finally bring Full House back to live.” The creator of House Full, Jeff Franklin alongside Miller and Boyett productions announced in a statement.

The sequel will premiere on Netflix in 2016 and will have 13 episodes. The story will revolve around Candice Cameron Bure’s character from the original version D.J. Tanner, who is a pregnant and recently widowed veterinarian. Her younger sister Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin), her childhood best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) along with her daughter Romana – all comes together to help D.J. taking care of her kids – the 12 years old J.D. and 7 years old Max as well as her soon-to- arrive baby.

John Stamos who played the role of Jessie Katsopolis, will make a guest appearance in the sequel. It was also reported that negotiations are underway to bring back other original cast member Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Bob Saget, Lori Loughlin and Dave Coulier, according to Variety.

The original House full was aired on ABC from 1987 to 1995. It comprised on eight seasons and 192 episodes, focusing on the life of Danny Tanner who lost his wife in car crash. He was then helped by his brother in law Jesse Katsopolis and best friend Joey Gladstone in raising her three daughters.
