HP has announced its OMEN notebook PC which is exclusively a gaming PC which combines together performance, portability as well as style and all this is offered in a single package which is designed particularly for the gamers. Mike Nash, vice president, Product Management, Consumer Personal Systems at HP said “Gamers play to win and expect their PCs to do the same. The HP OMEN delivers the power to dominate with a stunning design to give gamers the ultimate gaming experience.”
The powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M and Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 Quad Core processor powers the HP OMEN which not just provides high performance but also gives stunning graphics. The gaming PC takes into consideration that most of the games are designed in such a way that they run in full HD and for this reason, the HP OMEN sports a 15.6″ diagonal, 1080p touch-enabled display which has been optimized for smooth frame rates and 72% color gamut shows vivid, rich colors the way games were built to be seen. The 128GB SSD provides ample space for the gamers who can load the games 2-3 times faster than traditional hard drives. There are also other options including 256GB and 512GB PCIe SSD drives and you will go crazy with the load times they have to offer which are 6-9 times faster than traditional hard drives. Customers also have a choice when it comes to memory and they can choose between 8GB or 16GB DDR3, and graphics memory of 2GB or 4GB GDDR5.

As far as the industrial design, even that has been built around gaming in every aspect. When it comes to high end games, heating up of the machine is one thing that keeps it away from the high performance mark. But the HP OMEN has been designed in such a way that it can manage the thermal ups and downs. There are dual fans on the machine which pull cool air through the bottom of the system and push hot air through exhaust fans at the rear of the system. This ensures that the hot air is kept away from the keyboard as well as the hands of the gamer. There are also rubber feet at the bottom which have been engineered to channel cool air into the dual fan inlets and prevent hot air from re-circulating back into the notebook. This ensures that the machine stays cool even through back to back gaming sessions.
The HP OMEN is merely 19.9mm thin and weighs only 4.68lbs, which shows that HP has thought well enough about the portability and the sleekness also offers a good outlook. The chassis has been fashioned out of solid aluminum, and anodized with a black finish for the perfect look.
The HP OMEN is available to be purchased in the US and can be bought at a starting price of $1,499.99 which includes the NVIDIA GTX860M with 2GB GDDR5, Intel Core i7 Quad Core Processor, 8GB DDR3 system memory, and a 128GB SSD.
